In December I took the train to Southern Sweden to visit Bosjökloster Castle and Gardens. In snow and sun the white castle looked magnificent. But next time I will visit and put the exhibition it will be spring and the tulips will be in full blossom. The exhibition opens 30 th of April and closes at 28th of June. |

"Björklundska hybrider" är en utställning av systrarna Sofie och Malin Björklund. Sofie är blomsterkonstnär och Malin mönsterdesigner. "Björklundska hybrider" är en utställning som tänjer på gränsen mellan natur och fantasi. Både Sofie och Malin utgår från växtriket i sitt skapande men utan att låta detta vara en begränsning. I inspirationen, växtriket, finner de båda det naturliga men också det onaturliga - det tvetydiga. "Björklundska hybrider" har kommit till genom en dialog som gör att verken på olika sätt är förenade med varandra, ibland i val av växter, andra gånger mer på ett subtilt plan. |

Temat för säsongen är Hawaii, med en lätt bris av 50-60-tal och färger som för tankarna till tropisk flora och fauna och dramatiska stormar: mimosagult, hibiskusrosa, silver, gräsgrönt och lagunblått. Delar av kollektionen är ett samarbete med mönsterdesignern Malin Björklund, som på tyger har skapat sitt eget exotiska växtrike. |
